Mr. Earley Goes to Washington

This month Mike will be going to Washington DC for a week to lobby for chiropractic as part of a school organization that he is a part of. I am really excited for him, because I don't think he has been to Washington DC before. Neither have I for that matter, so I told him that he would have to take lots of pictures. However, there is a part of me that is a little sad that he will be away for so long. I don't sleep well when he is gone, and I'm already sleep deprived as it is. I guess I just have to make the best of the situation, and maybe it won't be so bad after all. He could run into President Obama and that would just be cool!

I've finally become fed up with how lazy I have become since moving to Portland, so I've decided that I'm going to start becoming active and participating in some of the fun events that Portland has. My first venture is to run a 5K in the Shamrock Run in March. I've honestly never done a 5K before, but my husband did it last year and he had so much fun. I was there as well, but I was just holding his friends' coats and freezing my butt off waiting for him to finish, so it wasn't that much fun for me. Also, I've been slacking on my New Year's Resolutions and think that I need to do something drastic to redeem myself. I figure if I make it through the race without passing out it will be a big success!!
